Before choosing POS software, map the work your team performs each day. Start with checkout flow, product catalogue size, purchasing, reporting needs, business locations and who needs access.
Ask to see an actual demonstration using products and transactions similar to yours. A good fit is easier to judge when you test refunds, low stock alerts, reporting and end-of-day processes.
Next, confirm the scope of integrations and any KRA eTIMS requirements for your business. Ask what is available today, what requires configuration and what would need additional development.
Finally, compare the full operating cost, including onboarding, support, hardware, user access and future growth. The cheapest quoted price is not always the lowest total cost.
