Offline claims are not all equal
A system may be able to show cached information without allowing sales, or it may support full local checkout. Ask a vendor to demonstrate exactly what happens when the internet is unplugged.
What happens on reconnection?
Look for duplicate prevention, conflict resolution, stock synchronisation, transaction ordering and visibility of unsent records. Confirm whether all branches can work independently and later reconcile.
Payment and tax integrations
Cloud-dependent payment verification and electronic invoicing may require connectivity even where local sales are possible. Ask about limitations and compliance workflows.
